Preview Nordic Gravel Series Lahti

Jonas Orset

Saunas, liquorice, Finnish forests, wet gravel, but great fun is what I expect to meet when we go to the Nordic Gravel Series Lahti. This will be great!

Covid has taken out most of the gravel season this year. Finally in September we had a chance to experience the Nordic Gravel Series first hand, when we actually organised the Norwegian edition of the gravel series.

The event in Nesbyen was great, and I am happy to be able to join this year’s last gravel event in Lahti, Finland.

FARMLANDS: The route goes through forests and farmlands. Photo: Miemo, Nordic Gravel Series.

The route is 146 km and goes through forests, open farmlands with some rolling hills. Last year’s race was really fun and I am looking forward to more gravel in Lahti.

NGS Lahti route

Get ready for the ride

It’s not a full on race, but it will be quite competitive anyway. James Whelan from EF Education is probably the best known rider, but I am sure more hitters will come. It will be fun!

Annika Langvald, 6-times World Champion MTB is probably the best known rider here. It’s a great gathering of riders, from World class riders to first-timers. This is what I love about gravel, it is for everyone!

Can’t wait to get started.
