Getting ready for an exciting spring
Winter is almost over, and that means one thing—it’s time to get ready for a new gravel racing season! The thought of riding on open roads and beautiful trails has me buzzing with excitement. I’ve got the spring schedule lined up, each offering its own unique challenges and thrills.
STAY ON TRACK: Trailblazer event schedule
I’m kicking things off on March 8 with the Valley of Tears Gravel. This race is set in stunning landscapes, but don’t let that fool you – it’s known for being really tough, with challenging climbs and tricky terrain. The name alone sounds intimidating, but that’s part of the adventure. I will have to dig deep, especially as it’s my first race of the season and coming straight out of the winter in Norway.
Just a week later, on March 15, I’ll be at the Mid South Gravel. Thanks to its challenging course and amazing community spirit, this race has quickly become a favorite. As we ride, we’ll be surrounded by fellow gravel enthusiasts who share our passion. The camaraderie and support you feel here are truly special.
On March 23, I’ll take on the UCI Gravel Turnhout. This is part of the UCI World Series and a qualifier for the World Championship in Nice. The course is a mix of technical sections and fast gravel roads, so it’s going to be an exhilarating challenge for everyone who takes part.
Then on April 12, I organize the DNF GRVL. DNF is short for Did Not Finish, but this adventure 100-mile race is all about resilience. It has a Western theme, which is a good reminder of enjoying the adventure and not being afraid of being a little “loco.”

As we move into May, the excitement ramps up. On May 3, I start the Traka 360, a massive 360-kilometer endurance test that takes us through stunning landscapes around Girona in Catalonia. It will push me to our physical and mental limits, but the sense of achievement when I cross that finish line will be unbeatable.
On May 24, we’ll join the party at the Gravel Locos. This event is all about the fun and community spirit of gravel riding. Yes, the course is challenging, but the atmosphere is so welcoming and celebratory that you can’t help but have a great time.
And finally, on May 31, we’ll take on the legendary Unbound Gravel. This is the big one, the World’s premier gravel race. After a good race last year, finishing 22nd after a 100-mile breakaway, I hope to be in the mix for the top 10 on a good day.
Can’t wait to get started. I also have exciting news on the equipment side of things, which I look forward to sharing with you soon!
